The Melt Series began as an exploration of metal plasticity, experimenting with aluminium and a hydraulic press to study the material's behavior under immense force. An accidental discovery led to the creation of a unique joint system, which forms the foundation of this collection. By milling a groove into a stainless steel sheet and pressing aluminium tubes into it, a robust, seamless joint is formed without welding.

 

This innovative process not only results in striking, minimalist furniture made from aluminium and stainless steel, but also reduces energy consumption and environmental impact by eliminating the need for labor-intensive post-production finishing.
